“We may consider that our clients are the States, that we need to deal with representatives of States, lawyers, prominent lawyers appearing before the court, but, we need the support of the public opinion.” - Philippe Gautier

The International Court of Justice was implemented by global agreement, for an international body politic, to be a liaison between all nations around the globe, on every continent upon the Earth. Although the international court operates out of The Hague, Netherlands, as a body politic to the United Nations, also located in The Hague, Netherlands, the international court has the ultimate responsibility of settling disputes between all nations and States (no matter how broken they seem).

International Court of Justice Overview - Interview by: United Nations

The International Court of Justice is the principal judicial organ of the United Nations. Composed of fifteen judges, elected for a term of nine years, it was established in June 1945 under the United Nations Charter, beginning its work in April 1946. Based in The Hague, the Netherlands, it is the only one of the six principal organs of the United Nations, that is not located in New York.

The Court has a dual mission, consisting, on the one hand, of settling disputes of a legal nature submitted to it by States, in accordance with international law, and on the other, giving advisory opinions on legal questions submitted.

Since August 1, 2019, Belgian jurist Philippe Gautier, has held the post of Registrar, the title of the the senior-most official who heads the Secretariat which assists the Court.

Elected for a seven-year term, he succeeded Philippe Couvreur upon his retirement, who held the position from 2000 to 2019. Before taking up his position at the International Court of Justice, Mr. Gautier was Registrar of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, where he had served since 2001.

He recently visited UN Headquarters in New York, where he found time to speak in-depth with UN News. He explained how the International Court of Justice has adapted to the constraints imposed by the pandemic, discussed important cases coming up before the country, and what he hopes to achieve in the Secretariat’s top job, in the coming years.

The Importance of Justice for All

“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.” - Benjamin Franklin

Justice is the foundation of bringing order by positive reparations to individual and / or collective circumstances, that have caused some sort of injury to a person or collective group of people in some kind of way. Throughout the millennia, there have been systems put in place by the fore-mothers and fore-fathers, formerly upon the Earth, who have indeed solidified a positive law process to address and correct any injury that anyone has suffered at the hands of any one person or group of people. Whether or not those systems are still in place or known by the public today, does not mean that they do not (nor ever) existed. It also does not mean that such positive law systems cannot still be effectuated, which is where the ancient principles of res judicata and stare decisis case laws, by common law, are always in effect for the benefit and protection of all humanity (not just certain territories by political design).

As the inhabitants upon Earth are currently experiencing the many, many injustices that have been impinged against humanity for hundreds of years to date, now is the time more than ever for true justice to take its proper course for lawful remedies. However, this is not presently the case due to the many usurped courts that are derived from the very ancient systems that were put in place for anyone to receive justice caused by perpetrators, who intentionally injure others for whatever reasons.

Right now, the world is facing what many have already perceived as an elitist control system, where only the ultimately privileged and financially advantaged are receiving justice because of a deep usurpation of body politics around the world, who took extreme advantage of lawful knowledge denied (and still being denied) to societies around the globe. A plethora of lower (and some higher) courts around the world have become the very detriment to society for which such courts and their judiciaries have sworn by Oath or Affirmation, to protect. The injustices that many, many people suffer from today, is the direct result of usurpation tactics involving the exchange of finance by and between the overly-advantaged people, who throughout history have toppled nations by fraud, manipulation, threats, and deception to control the very finance and resources meant for the protection and advancement of all humanity upon the Earth.

With so much discontent by the natural people, who have unwillingly or unknowingly contributed to the extreme wealth of usurpers, the regrets and remorse among those people run deep and the elitists involved have already become lustful in power and greed, with intentions to continue a plight against human rights. Thankfully, the collective consciousness for good is always in effect to change things for the greater good and bring back the long overdue justice that has eluded many, by coercion and force (even spiritually). There is a greater power in life and existence, which has historically corrected these types of dire circumstances created against humanity and gives humanity a chance at uplifting redemption... or deal with the unpleasant consequences that come with being passive.
